DROP BAGS FOR THE 100 MILES ULTRA TRAIL® AND ULTRA TRAIL® XL
For the 100 MILES ULTRA TRAIL® and the ULTRA TRAIL® XL, you have the option to drop off a drop bag in Haidmühle—you’ll pass by this aid station at the festival grounds. You can drop off your drop bag at the race number pickup—we’ll label it with your contact information. That’s also where you’ll pick up your drop bag after the race.
There are no cups at the aid stations!
You must carry a water bottle with a capacity of at least one liter —there are no cups available at the aid stations. Our mandatory gear will be checked at random during the briefing.
We are ITRA and UTMB members
This means our race is internationally recognized! After the event, you’ll be credited with ITRA points and the UTMB Index. The points are based on the race distance.

Tolle Veranstaltung, super schöne Trails. Die Startzeiten um Mittag im Sommer eher ungünstig, hier wäre ein früherer Start wünschenswert. Und dass man im Ziel vom Sponsor Erdinger angesprochen wird, dass maximal 2 Flaschen pro Läufer rausgegeben werden, zudem bei der Hitze ist nicht so schön. Eine absolut geile Veranstaltung – einziges, wirkliche einziges Manko: COLA Ich bekam Cola erst in Hufberg… und hier hatte ich Glück das ich noch die letzten Reste der vorletzten Flasche schnappen konnte. Am Dreisessel bei km 48 bekam ich Wasser nur noch aus einem Eimer mit jede Menge Mücken drin – habs trotzdem genommen 😉…

Mega Event … geile Trails, top Organisation, super Puplikum … bin im nächsten Jahr voraussichtlich wieder dabei! Meine einzigen Kritikpunkte: – der Start hätte bei der große Hitze etwas früher sein können – beim Ultra ist die Distanz zwischen den Laben am Dreisesselberg (1.Labe) und Oberschwarzenberg (2.Labe) etwas zu weit.

Top Ausschilderung zum Event Gelände. Parkplatzmöglichkeit sehr gut. Startnummern Ausgabe war zackig und gut. Start war gut. Evtl. An 2 Stellen etwas mehr Markierungen. Dort wo alte “Matschumgehungen” waren, die wiederum Abzweige auf andere “Wege” hatten war es etwas blöd, dass rundherum so gar keine Markierung zu sehen war. Grad im hintersten Feld ist das das schon blöd, wenn man 2 Minuten überlegt im Gelände ob man wirklich noch richtig ist.

Insgesamt sehr gute Organisation. Strecke ist sehr anspruchsvoll, und wunderschön. Musikalisches Programm nach dem Lauf war auch sehr gut gewählt, hat richtig Spaß gemacht! Punkteabzug: wünschenswert mehr Verpflegungsstationen auf der Strecke, gerade bei den Temperaturen wie am 15.07.23

Habe in der Ortschaft nach Wegweisern gesucht. Ewig nicht hingefunden. Parkeinweiser konnten mir dann leider nicht den Weg zum Campingplatz sagen. Ansonsten war Alles meeeega!! 🤩👍🏻

In the Bavarian Forest-Bohemian Forest tri-border region, you’ll find the ideal conditions for casual trail running. Our low mountain ranges offer plenty of elevation gain with relatively moderate inclines. Combined with this, root-covered, narrow forest trails alternate with exposed, rocky ridge trails offering breathtaking views across three countries. After the race, plenty of entertainment awaits you with musical acts from the region: Recovery doesn’t get any cooler than this!

“Why not…? An international trail running event right on my doorstep!” I thought when I first heard about the event. I don’t even know how many sunrises I’ve run toward there. A wonderful play of colors and trails of the very, very finest kind! The landscape is simply indescribably beautiful and a true paradise for runners, with enchanting singletrack trails… it’s easy to get carried away. I can easily imagine every participant crossing the finish line with a big grin on their face. I’m also really looking forward to the international field of participants at the 3K3H.

“Back to the roots!” Growing up in this gorgeous region of the Mühlviertel, among blueberry bushes and beech trees, these wonderful trails lead straight to the heart of every trail runner who comes here to run—sometimes technical and challenging, and other times flowing along the skyline of the Bohemian Forest and the Bavarian Forest. FAQs About the Event
Are dogs allowed on the trails?
No, unfortunately, dogs must stay at home. The trails may only be hiked without a dog.
How is the elevation gain calculated?
This refers only to the positive elevation gain (ascent).
How long do I have to register for the trail run?
You can register online up to 24 hours before the event begins. After that, you can still register on-site for a higher fee—however, late registration is not available for the ULTRA TRAIL XL or the 100 MILES.
Timing is provided by a passive timing system (UHF) from race result AG. Two transponders are integrated into the race bib for timing purposes.
Can I camp on-site in a RV or car?
Of course, there will be a campground again this year. In addition, we have several campsites and a grassy area for campervans, RVs, and trailers right next to the event. Camping costs €20 for the first night and €10 for each additional night per vehicle/tent—you’ll pay the fee on site. However, you must take your trash with you and dispose of it yourself. Open fires are strictly prohibited. You can find details on our site map.
Can I camp on site?
Yes! You're welcome to camp on site. We have a designated area for camping. Camping is free, and you don't need to register in advance! See the site map for details.
Can I transfer my spot to someone else?
Yes—you can do that up to 2 weeks before the event begins. We charge a processing fee of €20—just contact our support team.
Can I change my registration or switch to a different course or distance?
Yes, that is generally possible. Changing your registration from a longer route to a shorter one can only be done via email up to one week before the event begins. If you switch to a shorter route, the price difference cannot be refunded; instead, a €20 processing fee will apply. Upgrading from a shorter route to a longer one is possible up to one week before the event begins, provided you pay the price difference.
Can I cancel my registration?
You can cancel your registration in advance, but entry fees are generally non-refundable. Only in the event of an injury and upon presentation of a doctor’s note will we refund the entry fee up to 14 days before the event begins, subject to a 20 € processing fee. The refund will be issued to the original payment method within 14 business days of receiving the doctor’s note.
